Hi Everyone!
As always, I'm making a last minute submission to a challenge! I had been planning to play along Winnie & Walter's Playdate 4 challenge but I kept postponing it as I felt I didn't have appropriate stamps sets to do so. But finally, I decided to make do with whatever I had.
I used 'The Big, the Bold and the Happy' and 'The write stuff- Picture Perfect' stamp sets from Winnie & Walter . I also used Altenew's Hennah Elements stamp set.
Here is the inspiration picture.
I would also like to submit these cards to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge which is Anything goes!
Have a nice weekend people!
Take care!
I first wanted to make a holiday themed card as soon as I saw the inspiration picture and wanted to keep it all gold, silver and sparkly. But as I said, I don't have appropriate stamp sets. So the choice was easier to make....since there was no choice at all! :D
I looked at my W&W stamp sets and the frame in the 'The write stuff- Picture Perfect' stamp set caught my attention. I immediately knew what I wanted to make. I love to combine stamp sets from different companies and Winnie&Walter and Altenew go along together so well that it's really a match made in heaven!
***There is one more card I used stamp sets from these two companies together. Check it out HERE.
To make this card, I stamped the frame from W&W stamp set in a very light colored ink and the stamped all the elements from Altenew stamp set. I then stamped the same frame in Versamark watermark ink on the stamped frame and heat embossed in Silver.
I drew inspiration from both the colors from the color palette and the picture. Though I'm not a fan of glitter, I love subtle sparkly things... I mean I adore anything shiny but only shiny to an extent. :) So I wanted to add that sparkle to my card. so added the gold confetti and sparkly clear sequins.
Once I heat embossed the frame, I colored the flowers with Prisma colored pencils and blended with gamsol. Once that was done, I stamped the bold sentiment on a piece of vellum with black archival ink and fussy cut it out and adhered to my card base and then stamped the sentiment 'always' inside the frame.
I made another card more than a week ago but couldn't take a good picture of it as unfortunately I smudged the card with oil by accident! :( To this day I'm not able to remember as to why I had oil on my fingers! So I had only the picture that nI took at night before the spoiled the card.
I did a lot of masking and inking using a stencil on this one and used all the colors from the palette.
Right now, a sale is going on, on their website. Don't forget to check it out. I placed an order for a few stamp sets and a cutaway yesterday. Unfortunately a stencil that I so wanted went out of stock. :/
