Have a big, bold, colorful happy birthday!!

Hi,

I know it was not even a couple of days since I had last posted but I'm back! I'm just trying to be more regular.:)

I made a card for 'Little Tangles' challenge and wanted to share.

For this challenge, we are required to follow the color scheme and here it is...

And here is what I made...

I randomly stamped the tiny flower from the Neat and Tangled 'Gifts for you' stamp set in three different inks on a faux stitched die cut after masking the four sides so as to keep the stitched detail visible even after all the stamping. Inks that I used to stamp are Peacock feathers and Spiced Marmalade distress inks for teal and orange and Memento Desert sand for the kraft.

After stamping the whole panel (second generation and third generation stamping also done for added interest.) with the flower, tiny hearts from the same stamp set were stamped.

After stamping was done, I was at loss at to what was to be done next! I wanted bold sentiment but not anything that dominated the background. So I stamped my dear 'happy' sentiment from the Winnie and Walter's 'Big, Bold and Happy' stamp set with Versamark water mark ink on a strip of vellum and heat embossed in white. But when I placed it on the stamped panel, the sentiment was not properly visible. So after a lot of thinking, I sponged the vellum with Peacock feathers and Spiced marmalade distress inks. The orange ink looks like yellow on the vellum but actually it is not.
I added a small white strip with the stamped sentiment for the same Neat and Tangled set and added some enamel dots.

Assembled everything.

Hope to see you soon again!

Thanks for visiting!

ETA- I just saw that the collection for that Little Tangles challenge has closed!! Can you believe it?!! Am I disappointed? Oh yes, I am! But I'm more amused at the way I handle things!! Could I not enter a bit earlier?! WOW!!
