Hi! A very quick post to share a card I made yesterday. This is my first shaker card and I made it keeping in mind few challenges.

The sketch is taken from CAS(E) this sketch!
I kept autumn theme in mind for CAS-ology- cue word is autumn and
CAS-ual Fridays- Autumn colours and atleast one leaf...

Here is my card...

The leaves were die cut, sprayed with mists and again distressed.

I have just 30 more mins to enter 'CAS(E) this sketch!' challenge and I don't want to miss it!! :D Will hit 'publish' before I forget the reason I'm doing this post now! :-p

shabby chic, stamping and coloring!!

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a good day! I have three cards to share with you today...

Here's the first one... Made this last night. After making this card, I accepted the fact that I can't make cards with many layers. Even when I make a shabby chic card, I can only include a single layer! :-p

I made this based on colours at IBSIC. I'm in love with the pastels! The sentiment is from IBS stamp set.

PP- DCWV Itsy bitsy

Also linking it to
Itsy bitsy - 'Pretty with P' challenge. I have used patterned paper, pink, pearls and pins (pearl head pins) (4 Ps! :))
DCAM- 'shabby is chic' challenge.

Here is IBSIC inspiration picture

The second card is also based on IBSIC challenge colours... I used summer flowers stamp set from IBS store to make the BG. This looks different from all the other cards I made till now, doesn't it? Everything is colored with water color pencils. After seeing how beautifully Sanketi uses water colors, I too wanted to try once...but not like her. I used water color pencils. Do visit her beautiful blog. She makes stunning cards. Almost all of them are CAS!

I made the last card just like that!! Wanted to play with IBS stamp sets I recently bought! :) Aren't those strawberries adorable? :)

I wish to link this up at Lulupu- Fancy me! I fancy CAS style with stamping and fussy cutting! The mason jar is stamped and fussy cut, so are the strawberries.:)

A card with feathers and some more cards...

More cards to share today!!

First card is for BGC challenge.

Used my new feather dies for this card...

Since this is a CAS card, I'd like to enter Lulupu's 'fancy me!' challenge. I LOVE CAS because in spite of looking simple CAS cards always look striking. For some strange reason, I am not capable of adding layers to my cards, if I do it doesn't feel like MY work anymore! :-p So whenever I think of making a card, I automatically tend to make something CAS. Guess I am made for CAS card making! :-p

Entering Colour conceptions challenge#4 which is 'spread your wings with distress inks'!

I used vintage photo, mustard seed and shabby shutters distress inks to colour my feathers.

After die cutting the feathers, gave them more fringes to make them look natural...

Guess I got the colours right! :)

The second card is for 10 Min Craft Dash! It's been ages since I played along and thought...

Here is a card  I created in 8 Min 47 Sec.

Just some random stamping and sentiment... Blue is pale in my card but I don't have the color given in the challenge graphic.

And here's one more card that I made just like that. Got my new sunflower die and I LOVE it!

I made a CAS card, doesn't it look cheerful? :)

See the glossy accents? Oh I'm sooooo in love with this product! :) Doesn't that flower center look like a chocolate? :D

Another close up....

My adorable baby peacock! :)

Good morning everyone!

I made a card with an adorable image yesterday.. See it for yourself, it's really cute... After I fussy cut the image, I remembered the brilliant sketch at 'CAS(E) this sketch' challenge and this is my third entry for the challenge!! I really LOVED the sketch!

Last week at Sentimental Sunday's challenge, the sponsor was Doodle Pantry. Though I'm not a big fan of digital images, I just couldn't resist buying few images as they were soooo adorable. The image which I used on my card is from THIS set...called Peacock birdie...

OK...Here is my card..

Now...don't you agree this is one of the most adorable images ever? My printer's cartridge was almost out of ink and the outline of the image was dark gray rather than black. It took away all the beauty of the image. So I took my black marker, outlined the image as it was...

I then coloured the image with my Faber castell bi colour pencils..I tried my best to do justice to the image. I guess I should have added some more green...what do you think?

The branch with leaves and a flower on the top left corner of my card is hand-drawn and coloured! I'm not good at drawing but I wanted something to coordinate with the image and I had to try! :) Some of my loved ones thought it was a stamp! :p

Here's another close up of the birdie...
Sorry for the large file size of the pictures. I intentionally didn't resize them as I felt they had lost clarity when I did. It took me more than an hour to colour and fussy cut this beauty...

Let me know whether you like it...

Linking this to 'CAS(E) this sketch!' challenge...

I'd like to enter IBS customer gallery contest (http://joannamunster.com/customer-gallery/) with this. The sentiment is from IBS 'Sky's the limit' stamp set.

black, white and a splash of yellow!

This was supposed to be yesterday's post! I couldn't post it because of power cut...

I'm not going to write much about this card...

I've made this for CAS(E) this sketch! and IBSI challenge. I took the colours from IBS inspiration picture.

Also linking it to IBS customer gallery contest for September (http://joannamunster.com/customer-gallery/). The sentiment stamp is from IBS store from 'Just Because' stamp set. I looooooove the font! :)

That is it for now friends...

See you again...hopefully soon! :)

'Dreaming of you...'

I love the fact that I'm frequently blogging these days!

Well...last night I made two cards for different challenges.

Before I show you what I made, I want to mention someone who has inspired me very much. She makes awesome CAS cards. She uses hand- drawn elements on her cards. She masks and sponges...she creates magic! I'm sure many might have already known her but for those of you who don't know her, she is Deepti. She owns a beautiful blog called Dee's Art Utopia. She's 'one of a kind' CAS card makers. Thanks Deepti, for inspiring me and so many others. Friends, pls do visit her blog and leave her some love... :)

I tried sponging with my Memento dew drops for the first time!

I'll share a card here and the second card in another post since I want to enter both the cards in 'CAS(E) this sketch!' challenge.

Here is one...

Like those clouds??

I sponged them with Memento ink using a negative of the flat bottomed cloud. I tried to get two shades... I hope to do better next time! :)

I know I messed up the sentiment! :( Looooong story!

I love glossy accents. I've a crush on it! :)

Do you see the glossy doors and windows? :)

I'm linking this up at 'CAS(E) this sketch!' (I have changed the orientation of the sketch and also changed the position of the sentiment. I hope this is ok...)

Also linking it to CAS-ual Fridays- Back to school challenge (As soon as I think about my school days I remember our drawing class where everybody used to draw houses, hills, waterfalls! :p I'm sure all kids do that even now... :))

some more cards...

Yes...yes... second post for today! :) I have few more cards to share...

I made this card for CAS-ual fridays - Back to school to challenge. After thinking a lot this is what I came up with. Wanted to let my hubby know that I miss him in a different way! Long distance relationships and marriages are so tough!! :(

Ok...now for my card...

I used the negatives of the alphabet die cuts...stuck different colored polka dotted PPs on the base card, then to add dimension I stuck the 'negative' panel on the base card with a foam tape.

I couldn't capture the colours properly even after several attempts. The colours are really bright if you see them in person..

Guess they look better here.

The second card is for IBS WHW tutorial contest. I used the ghosting technique shown in the tutorial with CAS-ual friadays 'Loving thoughts' stamp set! I LOVE these stamps! Can't really get over them...

The pretty little sentiment is from IBS 'Big wishes' stamp set. I simply love all their big and bold sentiment series... I have almost all of them! :-p

The last card is for my little cousin for her birthday. I stamped the sentiment inside the card.

Submitting this to Addicted to stamps and more- Make your mark challenge.

Colored the cute image with water color pencils.

That is all for today. Hopefully will be back soon with more cards!

Take care...

shabby chic card and box set...

Hi everyone!

I think I'm going to post regularly from now onwards! ;)

I made this shabby chic card and box set for Crafters Corner's challenge inspiration.

Here it is...

For the first time, I tried sewing on the card.

I made a box to match with the card. The glittered butterfly has been in my stash for quite a long time, it felt appropriate on the box! :)

This is how the box looks...

Closer look of the glittered butterfly...

Nothing much to say about the card...

A big thanks to my friend Hussena who sent some beautiful crochet lace and pearl head pins...

My card was inspired by Hussena's and Pallavi's creations. They make awesome shabby chic projects with many layers that don't seem cluttered at all. However my card is relatively simple with just two layers.

Time for a confession- I loved this card and box set! :-p

Supplies used-
PP for the card- Fairy rhymes 6x6 paper pad- Colour conceptions store
PP for the box- Nupur
Flowers- Maninder.
Sentiment- Inspired By Stamping Store.
Leaves- Crafters Corner

Entering DCAM challenge- Shabby is chic

Also entering IBSI challenge. Actually I have made this card based on these colors and forgot to link it up at IBS! :-p

Also linking up to IBS customer gallery contest for September (http://joannamunster.com/customer-gallery/ ). Used sentiment from Big Notes III set.

some gloss and some shimmer!!

I have a simple card to share with you all...

I have used my favourite stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays again.. This set (wonderful words) is AWESOME beyond words. The flowers in the set are soooo cute!!! The sentiment is from IBS 'The sky's the limit' stamp set.

I wanted to participate in ...
Lulupu's challenge (stamp, colour and emboss)- I stamped the flowers, coloured them with water colour pencils and scored lines horizontally and diagonally (This word reminds me of Diagon Alley in Harry Potter! :-p) with the help of my MS score board to give the embossed look.

Moxie Fax 'All that glitters is gold' challenge- Used gold pearls and painted the petals and centres of the flowers with Lindy's glitz spray (Cactus gold)) using a paint brush.

Addicted to stamps and more- Make your mark challenge- Used water colour pencils.

Also entering IBS customer gallery contest- September (http://joannamunster.com/customer-gallery/). The sentiment is from IBS- 'The sky is the limit' stamp set.

Here is the card...

The embossed lines can be seen in this pic...

Can you see the gloss? Applied glossy accents over the flowers...Covered the sentiment with glossy accents too....

Here is the whole card....

Here you can see the shimmer on the petals ..

So...what do you say???
