A match made in heaven!!

Hi everyone!

As always, I have found it convenient to enter challenges in the last minute! I had made a card for Altenew challenge like a week ago and posted on Facebook and Instagram. Was too busy to write a post. BAD habits!

But here I am with the card finally.

Here's the gorgeous inspiration picture that I couldn't resist. I used all the colors in the picture on my card.

I recently bought Persian Motifs and Hennah Elements stamp sets and I must say I'm totally in LOVE with them!

I think Altenew and Winnie & Walter is a match made in heaven. I just LOVE how the big bold sentiment coordinates with those gorgeous bold flowers!

Steps I followed to make this card-
1. On a sturdy card base, using the mini 'Art is' stencil, I applied embossing paste and let dry.
2. While the embossing paste dried, on TimHoltz water color paper, I stamped the two images in Versamark watermark ink and heat embossed in white.
3. Colored the images with distress inks and fussy cut them. These were pretty hard to fussy cut and I don't think I did a decent job.
4. I stamped the sentiment from Winnie and Walter 'Big bold and Happy' set on a piece of white card stock and adhered it at the center of the base.
5. The fussy cut images were adhered with foam tape and finished off with dull gold pears.

That's all for today. Thanks for visiting!

Love...

'for you, mom!'

Hi,

It's me again!

I've three more cards to share and here they are...

I'll edit this post in a couple of days to include all the step by step instructions to make these cards. I'm now in a hurry to submit all these to Paper Smooches 'SPARKS' challenge!

I used Paper Smooches 'Crystal Clear' stamp set and coordinating dies and the WPlus9 'Fresh Cut florals' stamp ( I bought the set with the Gift Certificate I won on Khush's blog. :) Thanks so much baby, you are a sweetheart!! :)) on all three of these cards. These two stamp sets coordinate so well with each other and was a pleasure to use them together.

Here are the cards-

The fist is a shaker card...

The next one a layered card... Layers and me!! I hope it's not too bad! :)

The last one is a pretty simple one that I made to submit to Fusion Cards Challenge and Addicted to stamps and More but was too lazy to write posts! (You can curse the Instagram before you pass a judgment on me! ;D)

So, that's it for today peeps! Will see you soon!

In my heart!

 Hi everyone!

How are you all?

I'm enjoying life which is devoid of the regular 9.00 to 6.00 job! I'm having to do lot of chores but that's fine with me as the monotony hasn't set in yet! :D

I've been crafting regularly, almost everyday since we relocated to Hyd. To be honest, I get a lot of 'Me' time here as I get to be all alone after hubby leaves for work. :)

Coming to the cards I made, I want to make two separate posts.

This post has all the Mama Elephant and Pretty Pink Posh and Neat and Tangled goodness. I also have deviated a bit from my natural style of CAS and I'm loving it. Dies and patterned papers beckon me as soon as I sit down to craft these days! I just LOVE the Pretty Pink Posh and Mama Elephant Femme Frames dies SO much that I rarely make a card without using either of these.

For my first card, here are the steps I followed.

1. Die cut a piece of white card stock with Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 dies to make a background for your images that  would be adhered later. (The windows die can be continuously cut to make as many windows as we please which is why I LOVE it! The video tutorial by Paulina on how to do it can be found HERE.)

2. Cut a patterned paper of your choice in the size of the card base and  adhere it to the base. Here, I used a very pretty patterned paper from Echo Park 'Splendid Sunshine' 6X6 stack.

3. Add the die cut window frames background on the patterned paper and place back three windows in place where you want the images to be placed. (Before you adhere the die cut window frame background, cut frames off  in the center, to make place for the sentiment.)

4. Stamp the images from Mama Elephant 'In My Heart' stamp set on a piece of water color paper and color them with the medium of your choice. I used distress inks and a water brush to color them.

5. Fussy cut or use coordinating dies to cut around them. Adhere them in place.

6. Stamp the sentiment on a piece if white card stock and cut around it so as to make it fit in the center.

Steps to be followed to make the second card-

1. Stamp the 'Sunburst' from Neat and Tangled in Versamark water mark ink and heat embossed with WOW clear glitter embossing powder.

2. Sponge distress inks on the image.

3. Die cut the image with Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duos 2 dies (A stitched frame comes in the die set.)

4. Stamp the  image from Mama elephant 'In My Heart' stamp set on a piece of white card stock, color it with colored pencils or markers and cut with coordinating die.

5. Cut the center of the sunburst image with the same coordinating die where the die cut image can be placed.
NOTE- If you don't have the coordinating dies, nothing to worry. Just fussy cut the image and adhere it at the center of the sunburst image using foam adhesive or just use glue which would give you the same result. Since I have the dies, I went along and achieved an inlaid die cut effect.

6. Cove the entire base of the card with preferred patterned paper and adhere a stitched panel in white. I used Mama Elephant Femme Frames die.

7. Now place the sunburst panel on it and adhere the die cut image if the little girl.

8. Stamp the sentiment.

The last card is pretty simple.

1. Stamp the image from Mama Elephant 'In My Heart' stamp set four times on a piece of white card stock, color and fussy cut them.

2. Die cut white card stock with  Pretty Pink Posh 'Film Strip' die and cut off the vertical strips in the center to add sentiment.

3. Adhere the die cut on the base card stock and then the images with foam adhesive for dimension.

4. Do a little masking and stamp the sentiment as seen on the card. (Originally, the sentiment is long and in two lines.)

5. Cut around it in a square shape and apply versamark water mark ink and heat emboss with clear glitter embossing powder.

5. Adhere the cut sentiment at the center of the die cut piece and you are done.

I'm submitting all the cards to 'Mama Elephant and Me' 'Anything goes' challenge

Also submitting my second card (with sunburst on it) to Little tangles challenge. I CASEd DT member Tracy's card in post HERE. Here's her card-

I hope you like the cards. Thanks for visiting today! :)

Diwali bloghop

Hello everyone!!

Welcome to Diwali Bloghop hosted by Chaitali from Cuts, Crops and Creativity blog! We are all blog-hopping today to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights! Join in and participate in the hop to learn more about the festival and see some beautiful ethnic creations!

I was thrilled when I received a mail from Chaitali inviting me and other fabulous ladies to join the bloghop and there was no way I could say no!

I would have made my post a bit longer if I had more time. If you follow me on FB, you might have been aware that I recently moved to Hyderabad and the whole shifting process is SO tough.

Enough of my complaining, here we go...

For the first card, I used Altenew 'henna elements' stamp set.

Since I dow't own Diwali theme stamps, I had to go with whatever I had and do my best to make it look traditional! :)

The next two cards were made with inking a stencil, and adding MDF cut cuts.

The tag die is from Pretty Pink Posh. MDF Diyas from Craftslane. Stencil too is from Craftslane, designed by Divya.

I love the next card...the colors and the overall look of it, makes me happy.

Hope you like the cards...

Don't forget to hop along for more gorgeous projects. Here is the hop list....

Playing with new stuff!

Hi everyone!

Happy Sunday morning to you all! I hope you're having a great weekend.

It's been ages since I touched my craft supplies! I've been travelling like never before in my life. Major changes lie ahead of me and it's going to be very stressful. Oh no, I'm not pregnant!! :D Major relocation  to a different city happening.

So, I hadn't had time to play with my new goodies for a while but I couldn't let this go any longer. So I sat down yesterday and made four cards to submit in various challenges. YAY!!

I am submitting all the four cards to four different challenges hosted by Winnie and Walter as a part of World Card Making Day. How could I miss the fun?! There is just over an hour to submit but I'll make it this time!

The first card is for Kelly's 'Unexpected stamping' challenge. We are required to use a stamp in an unexpected way. Wondering what I used in an unexpected way??  Let me show you.... The stamps are from Mama Elephant- Carnival Cupcakes and In my heart.

So the cupcake doesn't have to be eaten! It can make a pretty li'l girl's dress! :) I just love how this card turned out! I used Femme Frames die  and Pretty Pink Posh Stitched duo 2 die.

The circle images are from Winnie and Walter's Big Bang Confetti stamp set. LOVE that set!

Also submitting this to Mama Elephant's October challenge that is 'Anything goes' and Virginia's View Challenge.

For the next card, I used Winnie and Walter's 'The write stuff- Picture Perfect' stamp set. I stamped the 'happy' sentiment from the 'Big, Bold and Happy' stamp set in Memento ink in the back ground. I then stamped the small images from 'Big Bang confetti' stamp set to fill in the white space beteen the sentiments.

The camera image was stamped on a piece of card stock and paper pierced. Added washi tape on the card base and adhered the image to the base. Finished the card with some pretty enamel dots and the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment.

Entering this to Lea's 'On trend' challenge and Virginia's View Challenge. Virginia's card and the happy colors inspired me. :)

The next card uses Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched duo 2 die. I LOVE this die set! SO many possibilities with it. I must confess that I'm not happy with this card. Too many colors and not my type.

To make this one I started out by stamping the images from Big Bang Confetti stamp set randomly on card base in different colors. I then die cut the panel and added to the base. Fussy cut the bold 'happy' sentiment and stuck on the die cut panel.

Entering this to Shay's Patterned Play challenge.

For the last card, I used Altenew 'Persian Motifs' stamp set and and colored the images with prima colored pencils. The flowers were colored in Blush Pink and Peach. The leaves with gold pencil. Added gold enamel dots. Stamped the bol 'Love' sentiment from Winnie and Walter's Big, Bold Confetti stamp set.

Submitting this to Gayatri's color combo challenge.

I hope you like the cards. See you peeps!
