Sentimental Sundays# 195 (Make your own background paper)

Hey!

We have a brand new challenge at 'Sentimental Sundays'. This week, we challenge you to create your own background paper.

Our awesome sponsor is Oak Pond Creations.

This is what I made for the challenge.

The BG was created with distress inks- Barn door and antique Linen and then generously sprayed with glimmer mist from Studio Calico.

The image was colored with water color pencils, fussy cut out and stuck on the panel with foam tape. The sweet sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays stamps 'Wallflower' stamp set.

Runway inspired...

Hi everyone!

I have a card to share that I made last night for Runway Inspired Challenge. As soon as I saw the inspiration picture, I knew what I wanted to use. I have this Avery Elle freebie digital image and I colored it with my water color pencils. I then cut out those circles and stuck them on the panel.

I clubbed two sentiments from CAS-ual Fridays stamps 'wallflower' stamp set to make 'love to you my friend'! :)

Sentimental Sundays # challenge 194

sands of time

Hi..

I made a card last night to enter CAS-ual Fridays Stamps 'Blue' challenge. I have been waiting to use this stamp since the time I received it but couldn't think of a way as to how I'm going to.

Finally, this is what I managed to come up with. Sorry for bad pictures! No matter how hard I tried I couldn't take better pictures. Guess I needed more natural light but I didn't have time to wait!

I used 'Sands of time' stamp set. I used the adorable hour glass from the set.

Now you'll see that I have played around with the stamp a bit. The image on the center of the card is the original one from the set. The other two were altered a bit.

I wanted to 'show' the passing of time, that was why I came up with this. I altered the sizes of the hearts in the first and last image also the quantity of 'sand' in the lower half..

Added glossy accents for interest.

It's time for Fusion again!

Here is the inspiration picture and sketch for you.

Here is what I created. I had a tough time deciding what to make for this challenge and then the beautiful butterflies from Sweet and Sassy stamps were so beautiful that I couldn't resist using them!

Hey everyone!

A quick post...

I made these cards a week ago but I was too lazy to post! Since today is the last day to enter CAS-ual Fridays challenge, I'm doing it now.

Also submitting this to CAS-ual Fridays stamps blue challenge.

I used 'Frankly' and 'Loving thoughts' stamp sets. Heat embossed the pattern on white cardstock and blended chipped sapphire and peacock feathers distress inks. Placed the panel on the basee CS at an angle and finished the card with a sentiment.

The next two cards look almost the same except a few differences.

On the first card, the blue heart is a bit darker than the second. I felt that the sentiment wasn't properly visible, so made a lighter heart on the second one.

I have a CAS card to share with you all today. I am going to link it up to CAS-ual Fridays stamps- The blue challenge. The winner of the challenge gets to guest design for one of the upcoming releases!! How cool is that! :)

Here is what I made... I have used stamps from 'Exclamations' and 'Frankly'. I first heat embossed the sentiments and sponged the whole card stock with chipped sapphire and broken china distress inks.
