Card no.3 fror MFT 'Card Design Superstart contest

Hi,

It's me again! I wanted to share the third card I made for MFT Card Design Superstar contest. I wasn't sure if I should post this card but I finally decided to.

Here is my card.

I wanted the design to be very simple. So, I randomly stamped images from the 'fly-by friends' stamp sets on the card base with versafine Onyx black ink. I then stamped the bee image, coloured and fussy cut it and adhered on a piece of die cut vellum.

Close up of the bee. There is a layer of wink of Stella on the bee and also a coat of glossy accents to make it stand out from the rest of the card.

Here is the inside of the card. I wanted to tie it up with the design on the front.
Hope you like the card...

That is all for today...

Card no.2 for MFT card contest

Hi,

I'm back with another card (I'm going a to post the third one too) for MFT Card Design Superstar Contest.

This is a pop-up card. I'm not good with interactive cards but I tried.

The diecut panel was made using MFT ' basic borders' and 'inside and out stitched rounded rectangles' dies. The large amd medium size flowers are from 'Fly-by friends' stamp set. I cut off their stems and fussy cut around the petals. The smallest flowers are from 'I'm tweet on you' stamp set.

And when you open the card, there is a small surprise for the recipient...

For the inside of the card, I coloured some images from 'fly-by friends' and 'buildable bouquet' and fussy cut them out. Then with  one of the stitched basic edges dies, made a simple landscape and adhered the fussy cut images behind the diecut and inked landscape.

Here is the close up of the front panel...

ETA- I made a video showing how to make the die cut panel. You can watch it here or on my YouTube channel HERE.

I hope you like the card...

See you with the last card for the contest. :)

Bye!

Smile- MFT Card Design Superstar contest

Hi everyone!

How are you doing? It has been a LONG time since I blogged. Well, I have my excuses, the most acceptable one being my baby who just turned toddler! :) He is one little guy full of energy who always keeps us on our toes.

Keeping the excuses aside,  I'm here to share a card I made for MFT Card Design Superstar contest.

A couple of months ago, I bought some MFT stamps and dies but couldn't use all of them.  It seemed a good time to get them out of their packages and make something.

It is a very straight forward card except for the flowers. I was so excited when the idea struck me.

On a card base measuring 4.25''x5.5'', I sponged 'Tumbled glass' distress ink using the scallop stencil. I sponged it very lightly as I wanted the floral arrangement to take the centre stage. Then on a piece of cardstock measuring 4.25''x5.5'', I cut out a rounded rectangle window at the centre. Stamped the images, coloured, fussy cut them out and stuck them on the window. Sentiment from MFT's 'Fly by friends' was white heat embossed.

Here is the stamp set that I used for the floral images. I separately stamped and fussy cut the stems for the arrangement.

I selected one of the three flowers with stems and cut the stem off and stamped just the flower. Then I did the same rotating the paper 180° (or you can rptate the stamp also) lining up the stamp with that circular portion at the bottom of the flower.

I made a small video clip to show the stamping process. You can also watch it on my YouTube channel (this is the first on my channel) HERE

I hope you like the idea and the card. Will be back soon to share one more card made for the contest.
